Getting Paid
Once an order has been placed, payment is processed securely through Stripe and will be paid out to your connected bank account according to your Stripe payout schedule.
How Payments Work
When a buyer places an order:
- The payment is processed securely through Stripe.
- Platform fees and payment processing fees are deducted where applicable.
- The remaining balance is added to your Stripe account.
- Stripe transfers available funds to your connected bank account based on your payout schedule.
You can view your balance, transactions, payouts, and fees at any time through your Stripe Dashboard.
Connecting Your Bank Account
Before receiving payments, you'll need to complete your Stripe account setup and connect a bank account.

- Add and verify your bank account details.
Stripe may request additional verification information to comply with financial regulations.

Understanding Payouts
Payouts are the transfers Stripe sends to your bank account.
Your payout schedule is controlled by Stripe and may vary depending on:
- Your country
- Account status
- Verification requirements
- Stripe account settings
If you're unsure when you'll receive a payout, check your Stripe Dashboard for the most up-to-date information.
Pending and Available Balances
Funds typically move through two stages:
Pending Balance
New payments may initially appear as pending.
This allows time for payment processing before funds become available for payout.
Available Balance
Once funds become available, they can be included in your next scheduled payout from Stripe.
Fees and Deductions
Depending on your account configuration, the following may be deducted from payments:
- Platform fees
- Stripe payment processing fees
- Refunds issued to buyers
- Dispute-related deductions or fees
You can review individual transaction details within your Stripe Dashboard.
Refunds and Their Impact
If you issue a refund, the refunded amount will be deducted from your Stripe balance.
If sufficient funds are not available, Stripe may deduct the amount from future payouts.
Partial refunds only affect the refunded portion of the transaction.
Disputes and Chargebacks
If a buyer raises a payment dispute:
- The disputed amount may be temporarily deducted from your Stripe balance.
- Stripe may request evidence from you.
- The buyer's bank will review the dispute.
If the dispute is resolved in your favour, the funds will typically be returned to your Stripe account.
If the dispute is lost, the disputed payment will be returned to the buyer and dispute fees may apply.
