Adding Products
Adding a product to your store is quick and easy. Complete as much information as possible to help buyers discover and purchase your items.
Step 1: Go to Your Store Dashboard
- Sign in to your account.
- Open your store.
- Select Add Product.
Step 2: Add images, a product name and description.
High-quality images help increase buyer confidence.
For best results:
- Use clear, well-lit photographs.
- Show the product from multiple angles.
- Include close-up images of important details.
- Use a clean background where possible.
The first image uploaded will be displayed as the main product image but you can choose which image to feature.
Choose a clear and descriptive title for your product.
Provide as much detail as possible about your item, including:
- Materials used
- Dimensions and size
- Condition
- Colours and variations
- Care instructions
- Anything buyers should know before purchasing
A detailed description helps buyers make informed decisions and can reduce questions after purchase.
Step 3: Product, price and stock
Before adding pricing, stock, or shipping information, you'll need to decide whether you're selling a single product or a product with variations.
Choose Single Item if you're selling only one version of the item.
Examples:
- An original painting
- A handmade mug
- A vintage jacket
You'll set:
- One price
- One stock level
- One shipping configuration
This is the simplest option and is ideal for unique or one-off items.
Choose Variations if your item is available in multiple options such as:
- Size (Small, Medium, Large)
- Colour (Red, Blue, Green)
- Material (Oak, Walnut)
- Style or Design
Examples:
- T-shirts available in multiple sizes
- Prints available in different dimensions
- Jewellery available in different finishes
Each variation can have its own:
- Price
- Stock level
- Shipping settings
- Availability
This allows you to manage inventory and fulfilment separately for each version of the product.
For Single Products, you'll configure shipping once for the item.
For Products with variations, each variation can have its own shipping settings.
This is useful when different versions of a product:
- Have different weights
- Require different packaging
- Have different shipping costs
By default you can set the cost for posting within the UK. You can also set whether you post to the EU and Internationally.
Make sure your shipping charges accurately reflect the cost of delivery and packaging.
If buyers can choose between different sizes, colours, materials, or styles of the same product, use variations. If the items are completely different products, create separate listings instead.
Step 4: Select a Category
Choose the category that best matches your item.
Accurate categorisation helps buyers find your products when browsing or searching the marketplace.
You can also add tags for more unique searching.
Step 5: Publish Your Product
Once you've reviewed all information:
- Set the product visibility to visible.
- Click Save product.
Your product will now be live and ready for sale.
You can hide the product at any time by setting the product visibility back to hidden.
