The programme includes – the world’s first Clarion concerto – arranged by Julia Koelmans with soloist Alessandro Vazzana, who plays the Clarion with head movement. Plus , co-commissioned by the BBC, and narrated by Niamh Moriarty.

Come and see – and even try playing – the Clarion that will be used in the performance by soloist Alessandro Vazzana. Head to the Stalls Bar from around 1 hour before the concert and have a go! If time allows, the Clarion will also be in the Stalls Bar after the concert.

The Relaxed Proms series is designed to welcome neurodivergent and disabled audiences, families, and anyone who may benefit from a more informal atmosphere.

We will maintain a flexible approach to noise and audience members are free to come and go from the concert hall as needed. If you are attending with young children, we kindly ask that you help minimise excessive noise to avoid distracting the orchestra. There will be a quiet space outside the concert hall for anyone needing quiet time before or during the performance.

There will also be some available and you can choose this on the day, instead of sitting in one of the regular seats. There will also be space within the Front Stalls area if you would like to for all, or part of, the performance.

The concert will be BSL interpreted, with the interpreter positioned on the right side of the stage.
