Gene

Public Event - Posted by Bristol Beacon.

One of the most distinctive voices of 90s British indie, Gene return to the stage for the first time in over two decades – and to Bristol Beacon for a very special night.

Formed in 1993, the band quickly became one of the defining acts of their era with their eloquent, soul-stirring debut Olympian, hailed by NME as possessing “a strong and commanding soul.” Over the next decade Gene built a devoted following, celebrated for their literate lyricism, impassioned live shows and hits including Sleep Well Tonight, Haunted By You, Fighting Fit and We Could Be Kings.

Now reunited in their classic line-up, Gene mark Olympian’s 30th anniversary with a tour that promises both nostalgia and rediscovery – a rare chance to see one of Britain’s most cherished indie bands back at full power.
